foodXchange is a Berlin based initiative for the barter exchange of culinary creations. The club was founded by Slow Food Berlin manager Pamela Dorsch and gastronomy consultant Cathrin Brandes. The idea behind this initiative is to connect passionate people. Every six months hobby-cooks come together at Markthalle Neun in Berlin Kreuzberg and trade away. Homegrown produce for home cooked foods, jam for vegetables, bread for fruits from the own garden. Everything works, as long as the Euros stay in the purse.
