Lyss is a third generation social entrepreneur who works to evolve standards to influence food sovereignity and agroecology.
She is the mother of BLYSS, which harvests cacao for foodies who demand more from chocolate. During her time creating BLYSS, she was aksed by baristas, sommeliers and foodies to teach them about real chocolate, so she created CHOCOLATEtraining an expert chocolate certification. During all her work in social enterprise, farms, education programs, diversity leadership, waste reduction and recycling, she was asked constantly to help others also ‘be changemakers’. Her speeches became too many so she then put everything she learned into a program called ChangeMakerLand for inspired peeps that want to Become the change they wish to see, too.
She lives between Europe and Australia, delivers chocolate, teaches, and speaks at a bunch of exciting events in between the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic. She is a the wife of a Bavarian, daughter of Papua New Guineans and mother of a fuzzy dog called Blanco. She speaks an Australian style of English, German which is more Denglish and a Spanish that makes grown men cry for the loss of phonetics. She is ticklish. Very.
Lyss provides the CFL Journal from time to time with her fabulous insider view on food matters.
